Manor Mead School Sensory Room
Client Brief
The Governors of Manor Mead School, a Special Needs School in Surrey, identified the need for a new Sensory Room to provide much needed support for their pupils.
What We Did
Malcolm’s solution was to propose infilling an under-utilised courtyard area to provide a large airy room with open clear spaces to allow easy access for wheelchairs and children utilising walking frames. Allowances were made for incorporating winches & lifting frames to ensure the area was accessible to all pupils in the School.
MHA undertook all Design, Space Planning & Specification for the project. Following competitive Tender, we monitored the works to a successful conclusion.
The School are delighted with the outcome, transforming an under-utilised area of the site into an integral part of the School fabric.
